Call for papers
The Organising Committee welcomes both fundamental and empirical contributions within the broad theme of advances in tourism economics and management.

As a social science, Economics has a long history of integrating inputs from other research spectrums. For this reason and also because this reality is even more striking in the interdisciplinary field of tourism economics, the 2007 conference welcomes also papers stemming from other areas of tourism research, once that a strong theoretical background is provided and a particular interest on the workings and prospects of the tourism markets worldwide is shown.

Papers (with a maximum of 25 pages, double spaced) should be written in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese or Italian. However, all sessions will be held in English. Therefore, all papers written in a language other than English should include an enlarged summary of two pages in English.

The main research topics suggested are:

Any research work specifically oriented to other areas of the economic analysis of tourism might be also accepted for presentation if considered of relevance for the field in question throughout the double blind refereeing process upheld.

The enlarged abstracts of all papers selected for presentation will be available on line at the Conference website. Moreover, the conference proceedings will be issued as CD (to be delivered to all participants together with conference materials) and a selection of papers written in English will be published in book form as a main output of the Conference.

The conference will be held over one and a half days. After the opening session on the morning of the first day (Friday, 13 April 2007) a set of parallel sessions will follow with paper presentations after lunch and on Saturday morning.

An enlarged abstract with a maximum of 500 words, written in one of the five accepted languages, should be
uploaded or sent (in Word or PDF format) to the e-mail address ate2007@standre.ipiaget.org no later than 30 November 2006 [Extended until January 31, 2007].
After a double blinded refereeing process, authors will be notified regarding the acceptance of papers during the first week of January 2007 (for abstracts delivered until November 30, 2006). The deadline for the final paper deliverance is 28 February 2007.
