It was with great sadness that we knew about the tragic death of Professor Thea Sinclair on Wednesday, the 27th September 2006. Thea was not only a highly honourable member of our Scientific Committee, but also a great friend and colleague who was with us since we started this conference series back in 2005.

As a humble tribute to her memory we inform that every single forthcoming publication stemming from ATE2007 will include an in memoriam opening devoted to Thea’s contribution to the world of the economics of tourism in general, and to her role and importance in this conference series in particular.
